Prescriptions
Repeat Prescriptions
A repeat prescription can be acquired in a number of ways:
- Online
- Complete a form in the surgery
- Call the repeat prescription line – 01433 631628. The lines are open Monday to Friday 9am-1pm.
For each of the above methods you will need to provide the following information:
- name and address of the person requiring the drug
- name of the drug and the dosage (be prepared to spell out the name)
- where you want to collect it from
Dispensing
Eyam surgery is allowed, by law, to dispense tablets to any of our patients living more than a mile away from a dispensing chemist.
Drugs can be collected from Eyam surgery throughout the day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:30.
The reception is very busy during morning surgery as there are more doctors working and patients tend to ring for appointments therefore if you could collect your tablets in an afternoon it would be greatly appreciated.
They can be collected throughout surgery opening times. We are required to collect prescription charges therefore unless you are exempt please bring money with you when you are collecting your dispensed prescription. If you have a prepayment certificate or are exempt from charges please bring proof to the surgery or ring to give us the details. Please note we only accept payment by cash or cheque, we do not accept debit or credit cards.
Medication Information
At Eyam Surgery, medication can be collected from reception between 08:00 and 18:30 every day. Dispensary is open from 08:30 until 18:30. Remember reception can be extremely busy in the morning therefore you may have to wait.
Medication can be collected at Bradwell Surgery between 09.00 and 12.00 every day. At the moment we are unable to offer any collection service from Grindleford.
In the event of you requiring medication urgently and we are closed then please: If you have a prescription then take it to the nearest pharmacist (a list of late/weekend opening pharmacists are detailed in the local paper). If you have no prescription, then present yourself to the nearest A&E department or ring NHS direct for their advice.
For repeat prescriptions please ring 01433 631628 any day (Monday to Friday) between 9am-1pm. You can also drop the white slip in the post to us at the above address or bring it along to any of the surgeries.
We require a full 48 hours to process the prescription as not all drugs are held in stock. Any orders placed after 1pm will not be ready for 48 hours from the following day. This includes e-mails.

If you need to order more than one month’s supply because you are going away please telephone our repeat medication line, 01433 631628, between 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday.
